Our Story

Our church community is a place where we help people encounter Jesus.

Our desire is to promote deepening devotion to God, keeping it real and finding the joy in all seasons of life!

Our journey began in January 1995 as a Church Plant (from Birmingham Vineyard). ‘Sutton Coldfield Vineyard’ met in a number of venues including schools, hotels, community centres & even the Odeon Cinema! As a Church we started a building fund to work towards putting down more permanent roots in our local community.

We met at Chester Road as North Birmingham Vineyard until we felt at the end of 2020 that the Lord was leading us to become something new...

2020 - A New Name

We believe the name of our Church should reflect our mission, giving us opportunities to tell the story of the journey Jesus is leading us on…

Matthew 5:14 says: ‘You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colours in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill’.

We want to bring out the God Colours in our community, we want to be the display of His distinctive Chroma. That’s why our new name is Chroma Church Birmingham as we become part of the growing Chroma family.

Names are important to God and we want every person to experience and display God’s distinctive Chroma!

We long to see our children enjoy the intensity and joy of His love. We desire our young people to have the freedom to live distinctive lives. We want every man & woman to see and experience the full intensity of God through His son Jesus by discovering the saturation of His glory!

2021 - A New Home

After a week of corporate prayer and fasting the Lord moved quickly and powerfully in providing us a new building to call home.

With increased space for all areas of ministry we feel we will be able to step further into what the Lord is calling us to in this season!

We have been holding our regular Sunday services here from September 5th as well as our weekly activities.
